This past weekend I went to the mall just to buy shorts because, hell, my body refuses to fit into my old ones. Shirts, shoes, shorts need changing. Yay, growing. And the hair’s different, too. Changes, all inevitable. Yeah, okay obvious. Your body changes.
Then lunch. My tastes have changed, too. When we were little kids, we’d hate vegetables and anything that just wasn’t a chicken nugget or a piece of pizza. But hey, that day I opted to eat a sandwich with fresh mozzarella, turkey, and lettuce on whole grain. What a feat, hah. (But seriously, I don’t know if my tastes will ever change to enjoy ketchup, heh.) Our tastes in so many other things change as well, shaping our personalities as we grow older.
And during lunch, of course I did a bit of people watching, too(that hasn’t changed, oops?). A man and woman seemed to be breaking up, just my guess. It got me thinking how much people change together, how people can grow apart, and how people can grow closer. Relationships are always developing and evolving.
I don’t know. It’s amazing to see how everything is connected. I don’t mean how my going to the mall to look for shorts made me eat lunch and then see a couple break up, which it did. I mean how all of the little changes that happen in our lives affect our lives and culminate into the whole life we’re leading right now. This is obvious, but cool to look back from where we were before and to where we are now.
